Our Story

Inspired by a proud legacy and a desire to share the beauty of Ladakh with the world, I founded Galwan Tours & Travels in 2016. Initially, we worked business-to-business, organizing tours and services for leading travel companies across India.

After years of dedication and experience — and with a strong base of seven hotels across Leh and a fleet of over 100 cars and bikes — we are now ready to offer direct experiences to our customers.

Our Legacy

The Galwan Valley, one of India's most talked-about regions, is named after my grandfather — the first Ladakhi whose name was given to a river. He was also the first Ladakhi to author a book in English, "Servant of Sahibs," an invaluable account for anyone interested in the history and exploration of the Siachen, Silk Route, and Baltistan regions.

Today, Galwan Valley is known not only for its breathtaking landscapes but also for its strategic and geographic significance between India and China — especially after the events of 2021 and the upcoming film "Galwan War Memorial" by Salman Khan, which has brought the valley back into the spotlight.
